Generalized design of frequency filters with operational amplifiers
Dokoupil, Drahomír ; Minarčík, Martin (referee) ; Vrba, Kamil (advisor)
This thesis is about general design of frequency-selection filter with help of autonomous circuits. Operational amplifier has been chosen as active device/element. In the begining of this project is described role of frequency-selection filters in electronics circuits, their basic types and their transmission function. Another part of this thesis dissertate about construction of autonomous circuits, selection of suitable admittance network and it's simplification. Selected autonomous circuits are initial elements to find out known connections of frequency-selection filters. Last part of this thesis describing work with SNAP software, ways to find new connection of filter and describe how autonomous circuit works in voltage or current mode.
Universal monitoring and diagnostic probe for serial communication
Dvořák, Ondřej ; Povalač, Aleš (referee) ; Záplata, Filip (advisor)
The thesis deals with design of a device for communication analysis in standardized serial interfaces, with differing parameters. The goal of the thesis is a complete design of a device including wiring diagrams, PCB, get PCB alive and design complete device firmware. The device will be able to process and analyze data on selected interfaces. The user controls the device with the use of USB interface, connecting the device with a PC or other computing devices. Communication is done by a simple protocol in ASCII, its design is included in this thesis. The device can analyze errors in the interface and inform the user about them. Firmware should be flexible, to allow the addition of more interfaces and protocols.
Wideband transimpedance photodiode amplifier
Šťastný, Martin ; Roubal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Drexler, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of transimpedance amplifier with high gain. There are described different principles of semiconductor sensors of optical signal. There is also a comparison of different methods of converting the photocurrent to voltage. It also discusses the design of an appropriate feedback capacitor in terms of stability in participation as a transimpedance amplifier. It examines the impact of non-zero currents flowing to the input operational amplifier circuit functionality and output offset compensation. Part of the thesis is a simulation that confirms the calculated values. The thesis also deals with the implementation of the receiver and the method of correct measurement of the cut-off frequency.
Design of a New Filter Structure Employing Devices of Fractal Order
Detko, Adam ; Kubánek, David (referee) ; Bečková, Zuzana (advisor)
This thesis deals with fractional order analogue filtration structures. The first part focuses on theory of analog frequency filters, including fractal order. In the next part, some of the active elements that can be used in frequency filters designing are mentioned. In the third part, known integer order filtration structure working in current mode is shown, which is modified to fractal in the next part. Modification to fractional order filter is realized by the RC structure Foster I, which approximates fractal order element, also known as pseudocapacitor. This part also contains calculations. Next part contains simulation results, that have been made with ideal models of active elements. The fifth part deals with the design of original filtration structure and its subsequent modification to fractal order filtration structure. Last part contains results of simulations and their comparison with the theory and for low pass as well comparison with physically measured values.
Compact Bluetooth multimetr
Kolář, Ondřej ; Kufa, Jan (referee) ; Rozum, Stanislav (advisor)
The first part of bachelor's thesis Compact Bluetooth multimeter discusses Bluetooth Low Energy technology. It describes individual layers and protocols of its communication chain. There are also described some of the electronic ciruits and methods used for measuring in electronics. The second part of the bachelor's thesis describes practical design and implementation procedures of the compact multimeter which communicates with a smartphone application via Bluetooth Low Energy.
CMOS Transconductance Amplifier Design
Zelinka, Miloslav ; Bajer, Arnošt (referee) ; Musil, Vladislav (advisor)
The work deals with question of design and simulation of integrated analog circuits in CMOS technology. The general aim of my thesis is to design transconductance amplifier and analyze its frequency response and stability in feedback systems. The two stage operational – transconductance amplifier with compensation capacitor is presented in my work. This compensational method of pole splitting used together with the nulling resistor prevents amplifier from oscillation. This work also deals with circuit solution of computing amplifier. It verifies compensation influence of frequency for phaser and frequency characteristics.
Design of rail to rail operational amplifier with AB output stage
Prokš, Jiří ; Háze, Jiří (referee) ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (advisor)
This work deals with design of rail-to-rail operational amplifier with AB output stage with low disipation and gain compensation of first stage.
Design measure amplifier for magnetic measurement
Hejtmánek, Tomáš ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (referee) ; Roubal, Zdeněk (advisor)
The purpose of this semester work is a design of a measuring preamplifier for a fluxmeter DTEE which is used for hysteresis loops on ferromagnetic materials measurements. Having respect to measure coils’ characteristics and processed voltage levels with ranges in nV and µV, there was necessary to investigate measure principles of such low voltage. And then choose an appropriate operational amplifier based on the result. Mainly with minimum input residual voltage and offset temperature dependency. Also was necessary to propose effective zero compensation and eliminate thermoelectric influence in the whole designed device. There was applied noise optimization of selected operational amplifier in PSpise software. The designed device will be assembled and tested. The given results will be evaluated together with possibilities of application for a measurement purposes in labs.
Shaping networks and limiters for educational laboratory purposes
Barč, Andrej ; Domanský, Ondřej (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with design and implementation of shaping diode circuits and double - sided diode limiter of sinusoidal signal for laboratory use in low frequency band. This is a 3-segments and 6-segments shaping circuit with and without active element (without operational amplifier). The circuits form a triangular signal to harmonic signal. The aim of the design was to achieve the least possible distortion of the output signal on the largest frequency range of usability. The functionality of the circuits was verified by measurement and a laboratory protocol was constructed from the measurement result. The measurement results were compared with the results of ideal simulated waveforms.
